Spain's Popular Party vows to launch bold debates on absenteeism and housing

Vice‑secretary Cuca Gamarra told a Basque PP tribute event that the party will continue to raise “uncomfortable” topics such as labour absenteeism, family formation and housing, saying these issues are “important for Spanish society” and the government should be challenged.

Party leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo reinforced the message at the closing of the youth wing’s congress in Valladolid, promising “brave debates” on the same themes and criticizing the government’s migration, pension‑age and housing policies. He urged young supporters to unite for more affordable rentals and greater job opportunities, claiming the PP will propose solutions rather than silence the debate.
