Spain Polls Show PSOE at Record Low as PP and Vox Near Majority

Recent opinion polls indicate a sharp decline for the governing PSOE, which now registers around 26% of the vote, its lowest level in the current term. The centre‑right Partido Popular is projected at roughly 33%, and the far‑right Vox at about 17%, together surpassing the 50% mark and giving the opposition a potential parliamentary majority.

A separate Andalusian barometer shows that 26.7% of respondents trust the PP to solve regional problems, while only 21.5% give the same confidence to the PP at the national level. The same survey ranks housing, health and unemployment as the top issues for Andalusians.

Corruption scandals involving former minister José Luis Ábalos and the spouse of the prime minister, Begoña Gómez, have been cited as factors weakening the PSOE’s electoral standing.

If the PP reaches its projected vote share, analysts estimate it would obtain between 138 and 143 seats in the Congress of Deputies.
