Spain's PSOE under investigation over legal advisor contract linked to Leire Díez case
Prosecutor José Manuel Pedraz has asked the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) to identify the official who signed a consultancy contract with lawyer Carlos Teijelo. The contract, worth at least €125,000, covered legal advisory services provided between November 2024 and March 2025. Court documents indicate the agreement was signed by party manager Ana María Fuentes and that Teijelo issued three invoices for the work.
Separately, former PSOE activist Leire Díez has petitioned a judge to annul the seizure of her phones, computers, agendas and other personal items, arguing that her December detention was disproportionate and violated her constitutional rights. Her lawyers contend that the police acted without proper judicial authorization and that a simple summons would have sufficed.
