Spain's Socialist Ministers condemn corruption and caution feminist rights

At the start of the Sanfermines festival, Elma Saiz, minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, reiterated the Socialist Party's zero‑tolerance stance on corruption and said she respects the courts, stating “el Partido Socialista tiene tolerancia cero contra la corrupción”.

Equality minister Ana Redondo, speaking at a women’s network meeting in Valladolid, warned that gains for feminism are not irreversible, saying “Lo conseguido puede desaparecer fácilmente”. She cited recent legislation on parity, gender‑based violence and trafficking, and highlighted a perceived threat from the far‑right to roll back women’s rights. Both ministers are members of the PSOE‑led government of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.
