The UGT union has formally asked the Spanish government to allow early retirement for hotel housekeeping staff in the Balearic Islands by applying the reduction coefficients of Royal Decree 402/2025.

The CSIF federation is urging the government to restore the full extra salary payments for public employees in the 2027 state budget, arguing that more than 3.1 million workers have lost between €500 and €1,600 a year since the 2010 cuts.
