Spanish Association Against Cancer expands regional operations
The Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) has announced new developments across several Spanish provinces. In Segovia, a new Provincial Council has been established, led by President Ana Isabel López Pardo. The council aims to support approximately 158,000 residents through a team of eight professionals, 238 volunteers, and 4,641 members. Key objectives include expanding equity to rural areas and supporting the association's goal of reaching a 70% survival rate by 2030.
In Ciudad Real, the AECC is working toward a membership milestone, expecting to reach 10,000 affiliates by the end of the year. To increase visibility and funding for free services and research, the organization is hosting the V Cancer Race in the provincial capital. This event is part of a broader initiative involving 40 marches across various municipalities in the province, including Alcázar de San Juan and Puertollano.
