Spanish authorities seize thousands of counterfeit goods in Marbella and Huelva

Law enforcement agencies in Spain have conducted significant operations against the sale of counterfeit goods and illegal street vending.

In Marbella, local police seized 40,000 counterfeit items during a campaign running from September 2025 to August 2026. The operations focused on beaches and promenades to combat unauthorized food sales and unlicensed merchandise. Authorities issued 510 citations for various infractions related to illegal street commerce.

In Huelva, the Guardia Civil intercepted over 62,000 counterfeit products across approximately 30 operations this summer. The seized goods, which include electronics, clothing, footwear, and toys, have an estimated market value of nearly 7 million euros. These actions resulted in 36 individuals being investigated. The crackdown targeted physical stores, street vendors, and e-commerce channels to protect legal commerce and ensure consumer safety regarding unregulated products.
