Alba Carrillo leaves TEN TV to join La Séptima

Presenter Alba Carrillo has announced her departure from the program ‘El Sótano Club’ on TEN TV to focus exclusively on her new project with the upcoming digital channel La Séptima. The decision follows a live broadcast on Thursday where Carrillo appeared visibly distressed and left the set in tears after checking her mobile phone, leading colleagues to describe her as ‘indisposed’.

Carrillo explained that she chose to prioritize her new commitment, stating, “it is fundamental to do things well” and noting that attempting to manage both roles was too complicated. Her departure has led TEN TV to cancel the Friday, October 16th broadcast of ‘El Sótano Club’ to allow for programming changes, with the show expected to return on Monday, October 19th.

At La Séptima, Carrillo will host a weekend magazine titled ‘Fuera de control’ alongside Marta Márquez. The new channel is scheduled to launch on November 5th, following a promotional tour across Spanish cities including Madrid, Málaga, and Valencia.
