Major cultural and professional venues in Spain are preparing for a busy final quarter of the year.

Fira de Barcelona will host over 60 trade fairs and congresses, focusing on health and technology. Key events include the ERS Congress, which expects 20,000 participants, and the Smart City Expo World Congress in November.

In Málaga, FYCMA anticipates more than 160,000 attendees for approximately 30 events between September and December 2026. This activity is projected to generate an economic impact exceeding 126 million euros. Notable upcoming events include the European Conference on Optical Communications and the San Diego Comic-Con Málaga.

CaixaForum Barcelona has announced two major exhibitions. Starting November 18, the exhibition ‘Soy Asurbanipal, rey del mundo, rey de Asiria’ will showcase over 150 pieces from the British Museum detailing the life of the Assyrian king. Additionally, the exhibition ‘Una fuerza del pasado’ will explore contemporary art’s relationship with tradition, opening on September 23.
