Spanish cultural and trade event programming

Major cultural, trade, and performing arts venues across Spain have announced extensive programming for the autumn and winter seasons.

In early September, trade and professional hubs such as Fira de Barcelona and FYCMA in Málaga detailed schedules for numerous congresses and fairs. These events, ranging from health and technology to optical communications, are expected to draw significant attendance and generate substantial economic impact. Concurrently, institutions like CaixaForum Barcelona announced major art exhibitions featuring historical pieces and contemporary works.

Subsequent announcements have detailed a broad array of performing arts and community programming. In Alicante, the Teatro Principal is launching a season of 57 shows, complemented by the ‘Cultura en Barrios’ program, which will host 70 activities across 16 locations to mark its tenth anniversary. The Aula Abierta program will also provide 2,200 places for 101 courses.

Regional theaters in Cuenca, Tarragona, and La Isla have also unveiled diverse schedules. Cuenca’s Teatro Auditorio José Luis Perales will feature comedians such as Edu Soto, Ernesto Sevilla, and Julián López, alongside musical tributes. The Real Teatro de las Cortes de San Fernando in La Isla will host performers including Toni Acosta and the band Teenage Fanclub. Tarragona is launching over 70 proposals across its Teatre Tarragona, civic centers, and public spaces.

Other regional highlights include the Gran Teatro’s centenary celebrations in Cáceres, the 25th anniversary gala for ‘Catalunya Aixeca el Teló’ at the Liceu, and the 15th anniversary of the ‘Así canta Jerez’ Christmas show.
