Spanish designers showcase collections at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid
The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid featured diverse showcases from Spanish designers, including a collaborative presentation by ‘Canarias Islas de Moda’. This initiative, supported by Proexca and various island councils, presented nine designers to promote the Canary Islands' fashion industry on an international scale by integrating music and gastronomy into the runway experience.
Additionally, designer Moisés Nieto returned to the official Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid circuits. His new collection seeks to move away from Andalusian clichés like flamenco aesthetics, instead drawing inspiration from the works of Federico García Lorca and Julio Romero de Torres to present a more austere and introverted vision of the region. Nieto noted an increasing demand from international tourists and a desire to reactivate sales with multi-brand stores abroad.
