Spanish family business groups forecast investment boost and join national foundation
The Association Extremeña de la Empresa Familiar (AEEF) reported that more than half of its 600 member companies expect their activity to grow during the coming year and plan a total of €252 million in new investments. The association, which represents about 40 % of the private regional GDP in Extremadura, said the outlook reflects confidence in the region’s economic prospects. President Juan Carmona said the family‑business model continues to drive employment and wealth creation.
In the province of Alicante, the Asociación de la Empresa Familiar de Alicante (AEFA) has become a patron of the Fundación Conexus. President Maite Antón and Vice‑President Ángeles Serna will represent AEFA, aiming to raise the visibility of Alicante family firms at the national level. Antón highlighted the strategic relevance of the alliance for projecting the region’s business reality in Madrid and strengthening the sector’s role in the Spanish economy.
