Spanish food retailers seek Veri*factu implementation delay
Spanish food retail organizations, including FEDEPESCA, CEOPPAN, and CEDECARNE, are calling for a revision of the Veri*factu implementation schedule. They are requesting that the rollout be coordinated with the upcoming electronic invoicing requirements to prevent small businesses, micro-enterprises, and the self-employed from having to undergo multiple, successive technological adaptations in a short period.
These organizations share concerns previously raised by the National Federation of Associations of Self-Employed Workers (ATA). The primary issue is the potential need for repeated investments in billing software, cash registers, and other equipment. For specialized food retailers, the transition is particularly complex due to the widespread use of certified scales that are integrated with sales systems. Adapting to Veri*factu may force businesses to replace fully operational hardware or invest in new software solutions, creating a financial burden for small-scale establishments.
