Spanish Government extends Guardia Civil and UAM cybersecurity agreement
The Spanish Council of Ministers has approved measures to extend a collaboration agreement between the Guardia Civil and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) regarding cybersecurity and biometric research.
The agreement, which includes the UAM Foundation, focuses on research and development in information and communication technologies (ICT). Key areas of cooperation include cybersecurity, pattern recognition, biometric security, and data science. The extension will cover the period from 2027 to 2030, maintaining an annual contribution of 485,000 euros from the Directorate General of the Guardia Civil.
