Spanish malls host free summer activities and eclipse‑glass giveaway

Fashion Outlet, the outlet centre in MegaPark Barakaldo owned by HLRE Socimi, launched a month‑long "Summer Fest" programme of free family activities for July. The schedule includes skill‑games (2 July), urban dance sessions (9 July), a hat‑customisation workshop (16 July), an environmental education project called Misión Planeta (7‑8 July), a Scooter Day (14 July) and a Dog Day (21 July), concluding with an 80s/90s music concert (23 July). All events are open to the public and aim to combine entertainment, creativity and learning during school holidays.

In Ourense, the Ponte Vella shopping centre began a promotion on 6 July to distribute up to 4,000 CE‑certified, ISO‑approved eclipse‑viewing glasses free of charge. Shoppers who spend at least €30 in any store receive a ticket that can be exchanged for one pair of glasses at the information desk, Monday to Saturday, 10:00‑23:00, while supplies last. The initiative promotes safe observation of the solar eclipse on 12 August.
