Local authorities in Spain are implementing stricter safety and coexistence measures ahead of regional festivals.

In Murcia, the National Police and local authorities have increased coordination for the festivities in La Raya and Puebla de Soto. A primary focus is preventing the illegal launching of wheelbarrows, a practice that has previously caused serious injuries, including severe burns. Authorities will deploy specific operations to monitor compliance with pyrotechnic regulations and public safety laws.

In Ontinyent, the City Council has issued a decree outlining rules for residents and visitors. The regulations prohibit the use of firecrackers outside of authorized events and forbid urinating in public spaces. The mandate also calls for respect regarding noise levels to protect residents' rest and requires that minors remain under adult supervision during nighttime activities.
