Spanish municipalities invest in climate control for public facilities

Municipalities in Spain are investing in climate control infrastructure to improve public facilities. In Loja, the City Council is investing approximately 50,000 euros to replace metal carpentry and windows at the El Olivo 81 Occupational Center. This initiative, part of the current PFEA, aims to enhance thermal comfort for users and staff. Local officials also indicated plans to invest in new air conditioning units to replace existing, precarious equipment.

In Almuñécar, the City Council has approved 70,000 euros to reinforce the refrigeration system at the Municipal Market. This investment, part of a larger municipal credit supplement, will fund new chillers and the necessary technical projects. The measure is intended to address high indoor temperatures during heatwaves, supporting local merchants and ensuring a more comfortable environment for customers.
