Spanish municipalities schedule free summer festivals and bullfighting events
The town of Lourenzá continued its "Verán na Praza" program on July 22 with free horse‑riding activities for children and a nighttime walking route, organized by local associations and promoted by the municipal council.
In Santander, the traditional rejones bullfight scheduled for Sunday, July 19 was moved 30 minutes earlier to 18:00 so spectators could also watch the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina. The city installed two giant screens in Plaza Porticada alongside an existing screen at the Botín Center to accommodate the dual event.
Both municipalities aimed to combine cultural festivities with the major sports event, offering free access and encouraging community participation.
