Spanish municipalities tender Christmas lighting contracts

Several Spanish municipalities have initiated procurement processes for their upcoming Christmas lighting and ornamentation.

In Soria, the City Council has awarded a three-year contract to Iluminaciones Ximenez, S.A. The agreement, covering the 2026/2027 through 2028/2029 campaigns, involves an annual cost of approximately 299,319 euros including taxes. The contract includes the rental, installation, maintenance, and dismantling of lighting elements, with an emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainable design.

Meanwhile, the Cambre City Council has put its Christmas lighting out to tender with a budget of 127,233 euros excluding taxes. The project aims to have decorations installed by December 5, 2026, and removed by January 31, 2027. The planned decorations include 44 decorative trees, 59 light arches, and various 3D figures distributed across urban and rural areas.
