Spanish Navy patrol boat Arnomendi hosts open house in Santander

The Spanish Navy patrol boat ‘Arnomendi’ is hosting open house events at the Muelle del Almirante in Santander. The vessel is docked in the city until Monday, September 21, following its participation in a tuna fishing inspection campaign as part of the General Fisheries Surveillance Plan (PGVP).

During its stay, the public can visit the ship to learn about its capabilities and life on board. Visiting hours include Friday from 16:00 to 19:00, and both Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 19:00.

The ‘Arnomendi’ is a Chilreu-class patrol boat based in Ferrol. Its recent mission involved verifying the presence of authorized vessels, supervising catches, and monitoring fishing gear and closed seasons. Following this stop, the ship is scheduled to embark on a new mission under the Joint Deployment Plan (JDP) to monitor demersal and pelagic species in the North-East Atlantic waters of the European Union.
