Spanish police arrest two suspected DAESH sympathizers

Spanish National Police have arrested two individuals in the provinces of Barcelona and Tarragona for suspected involvement in jihadist radicalization and terrorist indoctrination. The suspects are believed to be sympathizers of the terrorist organization DAESH.

Investigations revealed that the individuals systematically accessed jihadist web repositories and consumed significant amounts of DAESH content. One suspect reportedly took extreme physical and virtual security measures to avoid detection by law enforcement. A second individual was identified through these investigations, with search histories suggesting a potential intent to travel to the Middle East to engage in violent jihad.

The operation was conducted by the General Information Commissioner and the Tarragona Provincial Information Brigade, with international cooperation from the FBI. The case is being overseen by the Instruction Section of Court Number One of the Audiencia Nacional.
