Spanish police arrest women for fraud in Fabero and Palma

The Guardia Civil in Fabero, León, detained a 54‑year‑old woman suspected of defrauding a 76‑year‑old resident of a local nursing home of about €25,000 by using the victim’s debit card during unauthorized purchases. The suspect is being held pending investigation by the Ponferrada court.

In Palma de Mallorca, the Policía Nacional arrested a woman accused of posing as a lawyer and defrauding the owner of a commercial premises of more than €5,200. The fraud involved fictitious legal fees and fabricated documents related to alleged insurance claims for moisture damage. The suspect faces charges of fraud, illegal practice of law and document falsification.
