The Balearic Islands' government opened a new grant scheme to support the energy transition, receiving 241 applications in the first 24 hours that request a total of €9.5 million—well above the initial €3.8 million allocation. The Conselleria de Empresa, Autónoms i Energia said it will seek additional funding through the Factor d’Insularitat to meet the high demand, which includes requests from individuals, companies and NGOs for energy‑saving, self‑consumption and renewable‑energy measures.

In the Valencian Community, the Generalitat announced a €400 000 programme to replace combustion‑engine boats with electric systems in the Albufera, El Hondo and Salinas de Torrevieja wetlands. The scheme will cover up to 80 % of conversion costs for vessels used in fishing, tourism, passenger transport and traditional Latin sail, aiming to cut air pollution, water contamination and noise that affect the sensitive ecosystems and migratory birds of the protected areas.
