Spain hosts various religious and youth brotherhood gatherings

Spain is seeing a series of significant religious and cultural gatherings involving various brotherhoods and cofradías. In Almonte, approximately 3,000 young people from over 90 Rocío brotherhoods participated in the XXII Youth Pilgrimage, an event marked by the presence of the Virgin of El Rocío during the Jubilee Year.

Looking ahead, Cartagena has been selected to host the XIV National Meeting of Young Brotherhood Members in October 2027. This event is expected to bring together nearly 2,000 young participants from across Spain to promote generational continuity within religious traditions.

Additionally, Zamora has been named the host for the III National Congress of Brotherhoods and Cofradías of the Resurrection, scheduled for October 2028. These events highlight the ongoing importance of religious heritage and youth engagement in Spanish cultural life.
