Spanish towns award sewer contract and cancel school building deal

The municipality of Talavera de la Reina approved a €241,594 contract with water services firm Aqualia for the repair and maintenance of its sewer network, alongside a collaboration to develop innovative water‑treatment technologies at the local wastewater plant.

In the Valencian town of Alzira, the city council received a legal endorsement to terminate its agreement with construction company Vialterra for the Jaume I secondary school, after the contractor halted work in April. The council will relaunch a public tender to finish the project, which is part of the regional school‑modernisation program.
