Spanish Universities Host International Summer Programs in July

On July 21‑22, La Salle Campus Madrid organized a Summer School for the Proyecto de Universidad Distrital, gathering about fifty faculty representatives from La Salle campuses in Barcelona and Madrid. Participants worked on defining the profile of a Lasallian university educator, discussed identity and competencies, and concluded with a team‑building ceremony.

In parallel, the University of Oviedo in Asturias held the second edition of "Campus Temple in Spain," a program run in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania. Nineteen American students and three U.S. professors spent several days studying Spanish language, public health, innovation, creativity, communication and media, while visiting local research labs, media outlets and technology parks. The initiative aims to strengthen academic exchange and language competence under a bilateral agreement.

Both events highlight Spain’s role as a host for international summer‑term collaborations, bringing together educators and students from Europe and the United States to share expertise and cultural experiences.
