The University of Granada (UGR) started the 31st edition of its International Summer Courses in Melilla, focusing on wellbeing, education and sport. The program, directed by Dean Lucía Herrera Torres and Vice‑Dean Amaya Epelde Larrañaga, runs until July 3 and offers three academic credits. Fourteen teachers cover topics such as educational psychology, physical education, music, literature and the use of artificial intelligence for wellbeing. The courses are financed by the autonomous city and include a forthcoming Master in Active and Healthy Lifestyles.
Meanwhile, the Catholic University of Ávila (UCAV) inaugurated its 27th Spanish course for foreigners. Held in Ávila, the program brings students from Italy, the United States and several partner universities to study Spanish language, literature, culture and specialized subjects such as medical and business Spanish. The course emphasizes cultural immersion with visits to historic sites like Segovia, El Escorial and Salamanca, highlighting Spain’s linguistic heritage.
