Spanish Youth Climbing Team Competes at World Series in Dornbirn, Austria
The World Climbing Europe Youth Series took place in Dornbirn, Austria on 4‑5 July 2026, featuring the Spanish federation’s largest youth delegation of the season. Eighteen climbers qualified across four categories – U17 and U19 for both men and women – to represent Spain against Europe’s elite. European champion Aina Vila Cantero led the U19 women, joining teammates Emily Charlotte Pescetto Budden and Inés Allende López, while the U19 men included Lucas Pérez Nieto and Bernat Munné Guitart. The competition schedule comprised qualification rounds on Saturday followed by finals on Sunday, culminating in a medal ceremony.
The Spanish team’s strong presence reflects the country’s growing emphasis on youth climbing development, with athletes from Madrid and other regions poised to showcase their talent on the continental stage.
