Spezia Calcio celebrates 120 years of history

Spezia Calcio held a gala event at the Alberto Picco stadium to celebrate the club’s 120th anniversary. The event featured Matteo Marani, president of Lega Pro, who praised the club’s historical and social importance, noting that few clubs possess such a significant history and ability to generate popular passion.

The celebrations also highlighted the role of American ownership in providing stability to the club. Owner Tom Roberts is expected to contribute a video message from Boston. Reports indicate that since the spring of 2025, Roberts has personally supported the club by injecting nearly 70 million euros into its finances without external assistance.
