SpiralAI and Koei Tecmo Games announce updates for RyzaChat:AI

SpiralAI and Koei Tecmo Games have announced updates for the AI-driven chat RPG ‘RyzaChat:AI’ and revealed a new title, ‘SophieChat:AI’.

During a presentation at Tokyo Game Show 2026, developers shared that ‘RyzaChat:AI’ is considering a multiplayer mode for up to four players and a “travel mode” featuring an in-app map of Japan. The app, based on the ‘Atelier Ryza’ series, will also receive new character skins, including Chinese dress and Halloween themes, with more scheduled for late 2025 and early 2026.

RyzaChat:AI’ utilizes ‘SpiralLLM’, a proprietary large language model trained on original series scenarios. The developers emphasized that all assets are hand-drawn and voice recordings are provided by original voice actors, with no generative AI used for images or video. A royalty system is in place to return a portion of revenue to creators, including illustrators and voice actors.

Additionally, ‘SophieChat:AI’, based on the ‘Atelier Sophie’ series, is currently in development. Pre-registration for the new title has officially begun.
