Baia Mare hospital achieves clinical status amid regional medical recruitment

The Dr. Constantin Opriș County Emergency Hospital in Baia Mare has officially been granted clinical hospital status by the Romanian Ministry of Health. This upgrade, requested by the Maramureș County Council, is intended to strengthen the facility's role in providing complex medical services and fostering professional training. The hospital has recently secured over 100 million lei for infrastructure modernization and equipment upgrades, including new technology for neurology, cardiology, and radiotherapy.

Simultaneously, several Romanian medical institutions are conducting large-scale recruitment drives to address staffing needs. The Baia Mare hospital is seeking 84 medical staff members, including 62 beginner nurses. Târgu Jiu County Emergency Hospital is hiring for various roles, including nurses and economists, while the Gorj County Ambulance Service is recruiting general nurses. Additionally, Neamț County Emergency Hospital is moving to fill department head positions in cardiology, infectious diseases, and ENT, and the Pneumophthisiology Hospital in Baia Mare is seeking nursing and caretaking staff.
