Split Festival Moves to September, Drops Competition

The historic Split Festival will be held from 4 to 6 September 2026 at the Prokurative square in Split, Croatia, shifting from its traditional July slot. New organizers Hrvatski dom Split and the Tourist Community of Split have abandoned the long‑standing competitive format, replacing it with three themed, theatre‑style evenings that will feature contemporary artistic approaches and international musical acts.

The 17th Slavonski Banovac fair in Pakrac, Croatia, is scheduled for 10 October 2026. The event will include a concert by the band Prljavo Kazalište, a hot‑air balloon ride for visitors, the 11th Grahfest bean‑cooking contest, medieval reenactments, and a traditional fire‑show battle, organized by the town of Pakrac, its tourism board and local craft associations.
