Montenegro approves 78.5 million euro capital project list for 2027

The Government of Montenegro has approved a list of priority capital projects for financing through the 2027 Capital Budget. The list includes 28 new projects with a total estimated value of approximately 78.51 million euros.

Key investments include a 20 million euro project for a city square and public garage in Žabljak, and a 2.54 million euro project for the rehabilitation of the Ubli–Crkvice–Orjen road proposed by the Municipality of Herceg Novi. Additionally, the Municipality of Danilovgrad secured 3 million euros for the construction of sidewalks and bicycle paths along the R-23 regional road.

In Bar, a panoramic cable car project has also been included in the priority list, which local officials expect will serve as a developmental catalyst for the region. The Ministry of Finance noted that the selection process involved reviewing 172 project proposals, of which 47 met the required criteria.
