Multiple large-scale wildfires are impacting the Croatian coast and the region. A major fire near Lokva Rogoznica, close to Omiš, has forced the evacuation of residents and tourists. The fire, fueled by strong winds, has threatened homes and caused the closure of the Adriatic Highway (DC8) between Stanići and Medić. Over 150 firefighters are currently engaged in containment efforts, with additional reinforcements being mobilized from continental Croatia. The Ribnjak City Sports Hall in Omiš has been established as an evacuation center.

On the island of Brač, a separate wildfire near Pučišća has burned over 250 hectares of forest, leading to the evacuation of approximately 50 people, mostly tourists. Firefighters are utilizing aerial support, including Canadair aircraft, to combat the flames.

In Ulcinj, fires have also broken out in the villages of Gač and Klezna. Local emergency services and Ministry of Interior aircraft have been deployed to manage the situation and prevent the fire from reaching residential areas.
