Sport Huancayo to move match against Universitario due to stadium renovations

Sport Huancayo will be unable to host Universitario de Deportes at the IPD Stadium in Huancayo for the final round of the 2026 Torneo Clausura. The venue is scheduled to close for renovations to its athletic track following the International Andes Marathon on November 8.

The closure follows the signing of a contract on October 28 to resume work that had been stalled since April. Additionally, the stadium faces complications because the Oriente stand lacks the required Technical Safety Inspection in Buildings (ITSE) certificate.

Sport Huancayo is currently considering alternative venues to host the match, with the Tarma stadium being a primary option.
