Universitario de Deportes match scheduling changes

Overview

The Liga de Fútbol Profesional Peruana (LFPP) rescheduled a match between Universitario de Deportes and Sport Boys from October 28 to November 4 at the Estadio Monumental. This change was made in coordination with the Peruvian National Police to accommodate logistical restrictions caused by the Señor de los Milagros procession.

Separately, Sport Huancayo is expected to relocate its home match against Universitario de Deportes due to scheduled renovations at the Estadio IPD. The Peruvian Institute of Sport (IPD) has closed the venue to facilitate the renewal of the athletic track, a project that recently secured a contract following previous delays. The stadium was also facing complications regarding a missing Technical Safety Inspection in Buildings (ITSE) certificate for the Oriente stand.

Potential alternative venues for the fixture include Tarma, Cusco, or Arequipa. While relocation appears necessary to accommodate construction work following the International Andes Marathon on November 8, player Ricardo Salcedo stated that the club has not yet received official communication regarding the change.
