Sporting events scheduled for Ouistreham and Ollioules in August 2026

Two distinct sporting events are scheduled to take place in France in August 2026.

In Ouistreham, the Tour de l’Avenir, a premier cycling race for riders under 23, will hold its grand departure on Thursday, August 20, 2026. This marks the first time the event has been hosted in the commune. The race will feature professional youth teams and international riders, including participants from the US and UK. The route will travel from Boulevard Aristide Briand through Lion-sur-Mer and Colleville-Montgomery, eventually passing the Pegasus Bridge.

In Ollioules, the Vitalsport event will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Decathlon Ollioules parking lot. This free community event aims to introduce children and adults to over twenty different sports, including basketball, tennis, rugby, climbing, and archery, through sessions hosted by local clubs and associations.
