Romania advances major infrastructure and sports facility projects

Romania is undergoing several significant infrastructure and urban development projects across various municipalities.

In Târgoviște, the “Voievodul Mircea” Technological High School is nearing completion of a major renovation project valued at over 50 million lei. The investment, funded by the Târgoviște City Hall, includes structural consolidation, thermal insulation, solar panels, and the redevelopment of a nearby park for community use.

In Craiova, construction is advancing on a €75 million multifunctional sports complex. The facility will feature an 8,000-seat arena, Romania’s first velodrome, an athletics track, and spaces for concerts and exhibitions.

Geoagiu is implementing a €6 million urban regeneration project near its stadium, transforming 48,000 square meters into a sports and recreation area with facilities for volleyball, badminton, and fitness.

In Timișoara, the “Costică Rădulescu” sports base is scheduled for reception in September. Despite previous delays and contractor bankruptcy, the facility will include a football pitch with floodlights, a multifunctional court, and administrative spaces.
