Sports infrastructure projects advance in Misiones and Río Gallegos

Regional sports infrastructure is seeing developments in Argentina. In Posadas, Misiones, the Ministry of Sports has reopened the renovated Instituto Provincial del Deporte. The renovation, funded by provincial resources, included upgrades to the basketball court parquet, bathrooms, offices, lighting, and the building's facade. The reopening featured mini-basketball and taekwondo activities.

In Río Gallegos, Santa Cruz, the municipality is inaugurating the expansion of the Benjamín Verón Municipal Gymnasium. Silvina Juárez, the municipal Secretary of Sports, noted that the project is part of a broader municipal investment strategy that includes progress on the Juan Bautista Rocha Gymnasium and improvements to the 'Indio' Nicolás court. Juárez highlighted the social value of these works while criticizing the lack of provincial and national support for sports institutions facing rising utility costs.
