Sports training initiatives launched in Senegal and Burkina Faso

In Senegal, the Senegalese Athletics Federation (FSA), in collaboration with World Athletics, is conducting an international training session for Kids' Athletics instructors at the Léopold Sédar Senghor Stadium. Running from September 10 to 12, the program involves 32 participants from 14 different regions of Senegal. The initiative aims to strengthen grassroots athletics by training these participants to subsequently instruct local animators and instructors, focusing on pedagogical methods that prioritize children's enjoyment of the sport.

Meanwhile, in Burkina Faso, the Burkinabè Football Federation (FBF) has concluded the first phase of training for the CAF License A. Approximately 40 coaches completed 56 hours of instruction focused on high-level training methods and the use of technology for performance analysis. FBF President Oumarou Sawadogo emphasized that modern football performance relies on data, analysis, and technological tools rather than just intuition and experience.
