Spotify launches audiobook service for Premium subscribers in Brazil
Spotify has launched audiobook access for Premium subscribers in Brazil. Eligible users are provided with 12 hours of monthly listening time, featuring a catalog that includes approximately 6,000 Brazilian works alongside international titles translated into Portuguese.
The Brazilian catalog includes works from publishers such as Companhia das Letras, Melhoramentos, Dialética, and Saga Egmont, featuring authors like Clarice Lispector, Machado de Assis, Jorge Amado, and Paulo Coelho. International offerings include titles such as the Harry Potter saga and ‘The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo’.
A key feature of the service is ‘Page Match’, which allows users to synchronize their progress between audio, e-book, and print formats by scanning a book’s ISBN barcode. The company aims to expand this service to 180 markets by the end of 2026, eventually offering access to over 350,000 titles in more than 120 languages. The option to purchase specific titles separately is expected to be available in the Brazilian market soon.
