Spotify to launch audiobook service in Brazil
Spotify is expanding its service in Brazil by introducing audiobooks to its platform starting October 15. Eligible Spotify Premium subscribers will receive a monthly quota of 12 hours of audiobook listening included in their current plans.
The catalog features over 350,000 titles from various publishers, including works by Brazilian authors such as Jorge Amado, Paulo Coelho, Raphael Montes, and Eliana Alves Cruz. To support this new format, the application will include a dedicated audiobook section with personalized recommendations and features such as a daily timer and progress synchronization across devices.
While users in other regions may have options to purchase individual titles or subscribe to additional hours, these specific models will not be immediately available in Brazil. The expansion is part of a global rollout by Spotify to more than 180 markets.
