To celebrate the 28th anniversary of the franchise and Spyro Community Day, developer Toys for Bob and publisher Activision have revealed new details regarding the upcoming title, Spyro: A Realm Beyond.

New concept artwork provides a first look at Arcadian Vale, one of the initial regions players will explore. The area is described as a vibrant, serene landscape featuring waterfalls, ancient stone monuments, and lush vegetation. The game is expected to introduce a free-roaming flight mechanic, allowing for greater movement freedom compared to previous entries.

The new adventure follows Spyro as he faces an invading force known as the Scavs. The project marks the first major original chapter in the series in nearly two decades. Spyro: A Realm Beyond is scheduled for release in Spring 2027 on platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
