Square Enix and Yoshinoya launch Dragon Quest Walk collaboration in Japan
Square Enix announced that its location‑based RPG ‘Dragon Quest Walk’ will partner with the beef‑bowl chain Yoshinoya starting July 1, 2026. The collaboration adds Yoshinoya “spots” to the game map, introduces exclusive “Yoshinoya” monsters, and offers in‑game rewards such as themed equipment and coupons usable at participating restaurants.
Yoshinoya stores will sell a special “Dragon Quest Walk set” that includes a limited‑edition figurine; four figures are released in two waves (July 2‑15 and July 16‑29). Additional promotions let customers earn app points for exclusive merchandise, and a special online store sells co‑branded bowls and accessories. The partnership has generated strong fan reaction online, with many users expressing a desire to collect all the unique figures.
The campaign runs through late August 2026, with in‑game Yoshinoya spots available until July 27 and restaurant promotions ending August 26. Both companies will promote the tie‑in via their official channels and a dedicated collaboration website.
