Square Enix releases demo for Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World

Square Enix has released a free demo for the upcoming title ‘Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World’ (also referred to as ‘Dragon Quest Monsters 4: Bianca and Flora of the Withered World’). The demo is available on multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.

Players can experience the opening chapter of the story, featuring protagonists Bianca and Flora. The demo showcases core gameplay mechanics such as monster recruitment, synthesis, and the new ‘Field Scout’ system. Additionally, a co-op battle mode allowing up to four players is highlighted.

Users who play the demo can transfer up to eight monsters from their main or reserve teams to the full game upon its release on December 3, 2026. Players also receive a bonus item set, including the ‘Wrangler’s Bundle’ and various in-game items, provided they use the same account and console for both the demo and the full version.
