Square Enix reveals details for Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United

Square Enix has announced new details for the upcoming remake, Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United, which is scheduled for release on February 16, 2027. The title will be available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

New gameplay features include the Renown system, which allows players to unlock advantages like additional skill slots and United Attacks by completing objectives. The game also introduces Ley Lines, elemental battlefield affinities that can enhance or modify spells. Players can customize their experience through equipment forging in Pidona and by discovering the series character Mr. S to unlock various advantages.

Five key companions have been identified: the Minstrel, Tatyana, Nora, Muse, and Charl. Combat will feature the Glimmer system, allowing characters to improvise and upgrade attacks during battle based on their equipped weapons.

Additionally, Square Enix reported that Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven has surpassed 1 million units sold, marking a significant milestone for the franchise.
