Square Enix reveals Warrior of Light trailer for Final Fantasy Resonance

Square Enix has released a new trailer for its upcoming title, Final Fantasy Resonance, titled "Vision – Warrior of Light." The footage showcases the iconic character's combat abilities and design, highlighting the player's ability to call upon the Warrior of Light within the Sanctum of Light to aid in battle.

As the first game in the series to utilize the HD-2D art style, Final Fantasy Resonance features cinematic pixel art with 3D models and dynamic camera angles. The game will employ strategic turn-based battles where players can exploit weaknesses to trigger Resonance attacks. The world is expected to include classic series elements such as airships, crystals, and characters like Gilgamesh.

Final Fantasy Resonance is scheduled for release on October 22, 2026, for both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
