Srpska lista criticizes Albin Kurti’s new government
Igor Simic, Vice President of Srpska lista, has criticized the newly formed government of Albin Kurti, characterizing it as a continuation of institutional violence against the Serbian population in Kosovo.
Simic stated that the new administration intends to pursue policies aimed at the further persecution and removal of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija. He argued that the government represents a continuity of previous policies that have worsened the living conditions of Serbs in the region. Simic further predicted that the government would not be long-lasting and would likely be overturned by the Constitutional Court due to multiple constitutional violations.
In addition to political criticism, Simic highlighted specific instances of alleged misconduct, including the demolition of buildings in Zubin Potok without legal authorization and the arrest of children over minor issues. He also noted the establishment of 20 new police bases in four northern municipalities, which he described as a move toward militarization that failed to create new employment opportunities.
