St Austell police seize drugs, weapons, and cash

Devon and Cornwall Police have reported the results of a four-month operation in St Austell aimed at tackling crime, drug-related activity, and anti-social behaviour.

Through seven Misuse of Drugs Act warrants, officers seized quantities of cocaine, crack cocaine, and cannabis, along with prohibited weapons and thousands of pounds in cash. Increased patrols and 16 positive stop-searches further resulted in the recovery of drugs, stolen property, and weapons.

In addition to drug seizures, police confiscated over 50 alcoholic beverages from individuals linked to anti-social behaviour under a Public Spaces Protection Order. The operation led to the arrest of six individuals who failed to appear in court and three offenders wanted for recall to prison. More than 20 people have been charged for various offences, including breaches of Criminal Behaviour Orders.
