Police drug and weapon seizures in Devon and Cornwall
Overview
Police operations in the Devon and Cornwall region have resulted in various seizures of drugs, weapons, and cash.
In Paignton, a routine stop-check led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs and driving without insurance. Officers seized suspected drugs and a large quantity of cash believed to be worth tens of thousands of pounds.
Following this, a four-month operation in St Austell targeted crime, drug-related activity, and anti-social behaviour. Through seven warrants and multiple stop-searches, Devon and Cornwall Police seized cocaine, crack cocaine, cannabis, prohibited weapons, and thousands of pounds in cash. The operation also involved the confiscation of alcoholic beverages and resulted in over 20 people being charged for various offences, including breaches of Criminal Behaviour Orders.
